In the first half of May, the diagnostic and training center HDC Slovakia was visited by the winners of the tournament “Dobry lad” Polyus – 2006 from Vladivostok. They participated in the hockey camp organized by HDC Slovakia. The tournament was attended by 72 teams from 16 regions of Russia, of which 6 were the best in Kazan. Polyus – 2006 did not have one loss and deservedly won the final match. The tournament is annually held under the managment of the Elena Fund and Gennadya Timchenko. On the basis of an agreement between the Fund and HDTS, the winner of the tournament was awarded a weekly hockey training camp in Bratislava.

The rich training program at the HDC Slovakia was focused on three environments – training on ice, dryland and on the skating treadmill. However, the intensive training program alternated with a busy cultural program – young hockey players went on excursions of Bratislava. They received an invitation from the Russian team’s general manager and they attended the Russian team’s practices at the 2019 Ice Hockey World Championship and also attended a match with the Austrians. After the match, guests from Russia visited the HDTS special showroom directly at the ice hockey world championships 2019. As coach of the team, Ivan Marennikov commented: “Everything from the beginning to the end was very thoughtful and well organized; practices on the ice, in the gym and on the skating treadmill were intensive yet fun. The training staff is very prepared, friendly, with a good sense of humor that has helped the boys to perform challenging exercises. Great attention is paid to the coordination of players, static balance. All players have been tested and have received personal recommendations and sets of exercises to work hard on. THANK YOU to the HDC Slovakia team in Bratislava for taking care of our team! “.

Yulia Rodygina, a psychologist from St. Petersburg (“Timchenko Fund”), also participated in the hockey camp to work with the team. Her visit made it possible to hold several meetings and exchange experiences with SportMind – HDTS psychologists and experts. As a part of these meetings, SportMind HDTS experts presented their mental analysis methodology, demonstrated it in practice when working with children, how testing and interpretation follows. This technique has originated from our interest and understanding, allowing us to count on another interesting collaboration.

The director of the “Timchenko Fund” noted that the course of the hockey camp for children and the whole stay in Slovakia was organized at the highest level. We are very pleased that the young hockey players and trainers were satisfied with the training and cultural program, highly appreciated the level of trainers, methodologies and equipment of the HDC Slovakia center. We wish Polyus – 2006 another hockey success.
