Building a hockey centre means getting a lot of separate pieces to work together: testing technology, strength equipment, rink infrastructure, and the training system that connects them. HDTS now works with three established partners on those pieces, so hockey centres in North America can plan, build and run their facility with one team behind them.
Three partners, one centre
VALD Performance: objective testing. VALD systems are integrated into beeSPORT, the HDTS platform for testing and player development. Results from ForceDecks, NordBord, ForceFrame, DynaMo and SmartSpeed show up in the same place as the rest of a player’s data, so coaches can follow strength, power and speed without switching between tools.
Life Fitness and Hammer Strength: the strength zone. Life Fitness equipment, including Hammer Strength plate-loaded systems, gives the off-ice gym the tools players need to build lower-body and rotational power, the strength that carries over to skating and shooting.
Athletica Sport Systems: the rink. Athletica supplies dasher boards and arena glass for hockey facilities across North America, manufactured in Waterloo, Ontario. With Athletica on board, the rink itself is part of the same plan as the training technology around it.

First joint project: Calgary
The first centre planned on this network is a new hockey training centre in Calgary, Alberta. It is the starting point for bringing the same approach to more hockey centres across North America.
